Shining a light on the Irish in Queensland

Irish Queenslander has always showcased the exciting activities of the Irish community in Queensland.

Established in 2013 as a print magazine by Mary Allen, a former Irish Examiner and Irish Echo Australia writer, editor and graphic designer from Cork, the spirit of the publication lives on in the 2020s through social media, still shining a light on the social, charitable and sporting activities of the wonderful Irish community in Australia.

Mary is one of the well-known Allens from Cork City, known for their success in the GAA, as well as their long association with The Examiner office.

Mary also volunteers as Public Relations Officer for Queensland Irish Association and is responsible for publishing their newsletter, social media pages and updating their website.
